The Muslim Association of Milton is now accepting submissions for its article writing contest, welcoming local youth to flex their literary muscles in the name of Islam exploration and celebration.
Those 12 to 25 are invited to enter, with a May 20 deadline for submissions.
Participants are urged to avoid political or controversial topics.
Suitable themes include:
- Islam and technology
- The role of women in Islam
- The Islamic Golden Age
- Islamic Culture & Civilization
- Famous people in Islam
- The Five Pillars of Islam
- Islamic architecture
- Islamophobia: Causes & Effects
Entries should be between 250 and 500 words, and include full names, ages and contact information.
The top three finalists will have their work featured in this year’s Muslim Association of Milton magazine.
