September ended a lot tougher than it began for the Menace.
Milton’s Jr. A club fell to 6-3 with back-to-back losses this past weekend, closing things out with a 5-4 defeat at the hands of the visiting Burlington Cougars.
Andrew Giljanovic staked the hosts two a pair of one-goal leads in the first period before Milton was outdistanced down the stretch.
Marco Costante and Nathan Catalano rounded out the scoring for the Menace, who went 0-for-10 on the powerplay over the weekend, which began with Friday’s 7-2 loss to the King Rebellion.
Milton now has a few days to regroup before finishing up a three-game home stand against the Buffalo Jr. Sabres Friday (Oct. 4) at Memorial Arena. Game time, as always, is 7:30 p.m.
