Beaty Trail Park is now closed for renovation.

Fences have been erected at two local parks currently undergoing extensive redevelopment.

The makeover at Beaty Trail Park and Trudeau Park — located at 675 and 475 Trudeau drives, respectively — is expected to extend throughout summer and fall, with plans for reopening in the winter.

“Upgrades to Beaty Trail Park, and other parks in our community, are very exciting,” said Coun. Adil Khalqi in an email. “Ward 3 is booming with growth, and ensuring that we have parks that are modern, well-kept and meet the needs of residents is part of how we ensure Milton remains a community where everyone can proudly raise a family.”

According to the town’s website, the list of improvements for both parks include pathway improvements, open grass areas, children’s play area, shelter refurbishment, site furniture and signage, and grading and drainage enhancements.

Also in line for redevelopment is Optimist Park at 881 Savoline Blvd., with work expected to start in summer until fall.
